I met Maria in the Netherlands, in October 2017, where one of her paintings was auctioned off, as a fundraiser for rescued lions. I was blown away by her kindness, exceptional talent, and obvious love and dedication to animals.  When we agreed she was going to paint our rescued donkeys, Rebecca and Leroy, I knew that it was going to be something really special. The piece tells such an emotional story, of their struggle in the past, gratitude for being saved, their love for each other, and contentment in their new life. I know they spoke to Maria’s beautiful soul while she was painting them. It is so obvious in the painting. I cannot pass this piece of art, without it touching my heart all over again!

I am very fortunate to have met Maria during our college years, I have always admired her Art and her passion for it.  While living in Dubai I saw her post of this magical piece “Hope”. I immediately felt blown away! This painting is stunningly beautiful and unique, you feel immediately intrigued yet calmed and excited yet relaxed.  I see this painting and think of courage, wisdom, and mysticism. I simply believe it is the magic that Maria transmits with her Art.   We had “Hope” shipped from the Netherlands to Dubai and then from Dubai to the US. She has traveled quite some distance as a good courageous Lioness and is still intact in beauty and color as day one, which is the result of the high-quality materials and excellent technique used in her creation.  We have Hope at the very entrance of our home, she is one of our most precious pieces and there is not a single day that I don’t feel absolutely inspired by the positive emotions that this painting transmits.

Over the last three years I have purchased 4 paintings from Maria. So, obviously, I am a big fan of her art! The first painting was a commissioned piece of our dog, Ziggy.  Maria’s communication was excellent, and she regularly sent photos to keep me updated with the progress of the painting. As well as being a very talented artist, Maria is a lovely woman who clearly has a great passion for her art and animals. I hope to buy more of Maria’s paintings in the future.

Ma fille Lila aime beaucoup les fauves.  Je voulais lui faire un cadeau original et qui reste. Je connais Maria depuis de nombreuses années et J’ai vu son talent de peintre grandir au fil du temps. Ses toiles montrent tout l’amour qu’elle porte aux animaux. Quand J’ai vu cette toile J’ai su immédiatement qu’elle était faite pour Lila.
