Feeling Mad!
It is a beautiful painting made with Acryl ink met airbrush, aquarelle on Clayboard. The details were added by removing paint with a knife and by adding color with tiny brushes.
2 years ago, I got commission work from a friend who has lived in South Africa. She wanted a Lion in colors but more abstract than realistic. The painting was the room of her daughter.
We did brainstorm together, and the painting was beautiful and refreshing.
After that success, I got inspired to make a series of paintings in this style, but more realistic.
This painting can make you think of wisdom. The colors fading make you feel about chakras, and the lion looks infused with knowledge and understanding.
For others, it is clear…. He is mad! When you are mad, the worse thing you can do is to repress your emotions, you need to tell how you feel! Leave it out!. What shall we do? We should roar like a Lion.

2 Jaar geleden kreeg ik een commissie werk door een vriendin die in Zuid Afrika heeft gewoond. Zij wilde een leeuw maar meer abstract met veel kleuren voor haar dokters kamer.
Wij hebben een beetje samen gebrainstormd, en haar schilderij was in een andere stijl dan die ik normaal gebruik maar heel mooi.
Na dit success krijg ik de inspiratie om een Kleur Leeuw te doen, maar deze keer meer realistisch omdat ik daar meer van houd. De uitkomst is de schilderij dat je nu ziet.
Het is gemaakt met airbrush, daarna met een keramisch mes maak ik het haar. Met meer inkt of aquarel potlood maak ik de details.
